Sizing it up.

I have decided to paint (in addition to my larger pieces) on this monumentally TINY scale. (7cm x 7cm). It fits neatly into the palm of my hand, or into a pocket. Which is important as these will be worked on in public. I will choose my audience carefully so as not to exclude. It is also important that I leave these in places (galleries where possible). A (little!) bit of infiltration can’t hurt. I will also target trains, buses, museums, markets, theatres, public toilets and my friends houses. Putting little pieces of me in as many places as possible. A whisper that says “I might not be ‘big’, but I am here!”

I haven’t decided yet whether I want to be more political and put price tags on them which indicate their ‘value’ in multiple ways, having been inspired by our asynchronous discussion about Art and value. It makes me smile to think about it. We shall see.

I will be recording the process and documenting where they have been left.
